It's Been a While
Hello! It’s been a while.
I’ve been busy. Healing is a full-time job—I have multiple IVs throughout the week (some of which take 4 to 5 hours to administer), acupuncture, doctor visits, daily detoxing, research, and chemo every 3 weeks.
But I’ve also been living! We are loving spring in Atlanta and taking full advantage of this beautiful time of year. I just celebrated a birthday—36 beautiful years of life. We celebrated with friends on a perfect spring day, and it made me realize how grateful I am for my support system here. I know I’m biased, but we have AMAZING friends, and I feel incredibly lucky to be surrounded by them.
Health-wise, I’ve been doing great. I just had my 6th negative Signatera test, which measures the circulating tumor DNA in my bloodwork. This is a huge win and I’m so grateful to be in this position. My cancer markers have also remained in the low/normal range.
I’m also meeting with several new integrative doctors over the next month. I’ve always believed in the importance of being a lifelong student of my own body. Even when things are going well, I want to keep learning, growing, and optimizing. These doctors bring unique specialties to the table, and I’m eager to see what new insights we can find together.
In personal news, I’ve been diligently working on a new business. Most of you know that I left my job last spring. I truly did not have any more energy in the tank to put toward it—I was burnt out and exhausted while trying to juggle work and full-time healing.
By the fall, I decided to start working toward an online antique business. I love all antiques, thrifting, and interior design—and of course, traveling! My home is filled with curated, unique finds from my travels around the world. I’ve always believed that your home should tell a story about your life, filled with special, quality pieces that have meaning.
So, Grace and I decided to start an online antique business called Maison Tacot. The name comes from our maiden names and goes back to our French roots. The business is focused specifically on French and European antiques that I’ll curate for our online shop. I’ve been working hard on the website launch and would love your support.
You can also follow us on Instagram and TikTok @maisontacot.
Hot tip: I’ll also be sharing itineraries and travel tips for anyone interested in that email subscription (at the bottom of the web page)!
Now that the website is launched, I’m excited to have more time to pour back into this Substack. I look forward to sharing more articles and health insights with you soon!
Much love,
Eva
